Uber drivers want to demonstrate due to under payment .

Uber drivers are not happy on how they are being paid by the company especially after working so hard and making long trips for the company, the drivers went to the street for a peace demonstration last year on the issue of under payment and now they are planning a peaceful demonstration and boycotting their uber activities from 24th June, 2020 until uber company find a solution to this problem of under payment .  Auber taxi driver, said the low rates charged by the firms along with bonuses offered to frequent users have means they make less profits than boda boda riders. KCPE, KCSE exams to take place between February to April 2021

Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) and the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) will take place next year between February and March. Education CS George Magoha, on Thursday, however, said that the months are subject to change depending on how the Covid-19 pandemic progresses in the country. The government is preparing for the gradual reopening of schools from September. But Prof Magoha says that they have to be cautious so as not to cause a major dilemma in the future. “Officials from our ministry have already started going into the field to physically assess and what we are avoiding is people giving us shopping lists which is the usual thing,” he added. The ministry, he says, is involving other stakeholders to ensure that when children go back to school, then they will be able to do it in a safe manner. “We want to go and check at what is precisely necessary so that we can open our schools and ensure that our children are safe. POLICE HELICOPTER CRUSH IN MERU

A police chopper carrying regional security team to Marsabit has crashed at Kaithe in Meru County. Meru county police commander Patrick Lumumba says the injured have been rushed to the hospital. The chopper, which was being flown by Police Airwing Pilot Kemboi, was headed to Sololo for a security meeting. Airwing Commandant Col (Rtd) Rodgers Mbithi says that Captain Kemboi and himself (Mbithi) left Nairobi with two choppers heading for the meeting. He (Mbithi) is currently in Wajir. The single-engine AW119 is among the new choppers recently bought for the Police Airwing. Locals said there were six passengers in the police chopper.

Riots in parts of Kisumu following death of Luo hitmaker Bernard Onyango famously known as Abenny Jachiga. Mourners who flocked Port Florence Community Hospital demanding to view the body of the Late musician where his body was being held were teargassed by police officers who attempted to dispaerse the crowd. The police managed to overpower the crowd after a good chunk of time playing Cat and mouse chases. At the time of writing hundreds of mourners have flocked the hitmaker's home in Chiga.  The musician passed away on Thursday 2 am in the morning at St Jairus hospital after numerous transfers to different hospitals including agha khan.
